Use professional supplies
• Cartons
• Sealing tape
• Packing paper
• Bubble wrap
Use large boxes for light items
Use small boxes for heavy items

• Do not over pack. No box should weigh over 50 lbs. Realize that once
the move is over you will be unpacking and moving boxes on your own
Mark boxes
• What is in them
• What room they are going to
Make certain all boxes are completely full
• Minimizes damage
Start well in advance and be ready to go on your scheduled move date
• saves time and money
Dispose of unwanted items
• Consider certain larger items may be expensive to ship and more
practical to replace for your new home.
• Items like snow blowers are not necessary in some parts of the country
• Gas cans used for refilling can not be transported
• Live plants can not be transported. Consider repotting the plants
from their expensive containers into plastic containers and sell the plants.
Use the money to reinvest in new plants for your new home
